TRANSLATION: I thought it was about time to have a look at how the everyday is looking at work when we're out on a shoot, which has been quite a few this past month. Mainly I sit and edit, but when we're on location I turn into a jack of all trades: I take photos, shoot B roll, powder away the shine, props & costume department, set up and take down equipment, rig the lights, continuity, check-lists and shot lists etc. We've been around in schools and filmed (note: not politically correct anymore to use the expression "shoot at a school"), used the dolly to death (not literally of course!),filed elderly people (more entertaining than you might think), huge trucks, advanced braking systems for big vehicles and used green-screen in the studio. Our make-up lady Tania has had her dad from England visiting, the man is no one less than Norman Wanstall - he won an Oscar for the sound effects on the Bond film Goldfinger!
